FAREWELL

These pages will record the voyage of our ancestors and list the name of the vessels they sailed on. They set out on the voyage of a life time to go to a new land that held so much hope and promise. In many cases their dreams were shattered before the voyage had even finished. Many of our families lost husbands, fathers, mothers and children when they died on board their vessel. To endure what these families did is surely an indication of what life must have been like for them before they departed England. One can imagine, for many, that the life hoped for was worth the risk ... and yet for many the journey was just the beginning to even greater hardships and struggle as they tamed the land and raised our founding families on it.
